Who would have thought that giving is an art? Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, that produces results to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. (From Oxford dictionary)
So, the art of giving requires our creative skills. The emotional power “giving” of any kind produces, illuminates the soul.
Some are gifted with this art form, some are not. Those who understand the art of giving and enjoy the process, tend to be happier folks.
Conversely, those who are not gifted with the art of giving, tend to be takers. They are almost always unsatisfied, unhappy, and disappointed.
Like any other art form, the art of giving can be learned and cultivated. The only prerequisite to learning it, is the capability and capacity to love. Unfortunately, if one can’t love, one can’t give!
