Spent time with a friend whose name in Farsi means dawn of the day this weekend. (Ironically, my name means the dawn of the day as well). Dawn or sunrise is when light conquers the dark.
What I realized spending time with the Persian dawn, is that people’s names do correspond to their personality. It was so apparent that the light in her radiated out daily like the sun does on earth.
Her passion for life, while serving others with so much love and passion, without any expectations, reminds me of a famous poem by a mystique Persian poet Hafiz:
Even
After
All this time
The Sun never says to the Earth,
"You owe me."
Look
What happens
With a love like that,
It lights the whole sky.
I am grateful to have another dawn in my life!
