Naturally Curious

About: Welcome
Dancing in Water

For my boys...and anyone interested

When my boys were small, I tried to keep a journal of all my rough parenting days:  like the days, where I had to say no, push them to do something; or the fights and shouting while working hard to remain neutral.

At the end of the day, after tucking them in, I felt the need to write to them, explaining some of my behavior.  Like the reason why going to that party was not a good idea.  I had to tell them why 18-hour workdays can turn a mother into a mini-Shrek.  I kept those journals in a hard drive and hope they will read them one day.

So, they are adults now, and I hope to be a source of inspiration for them and all those who are seeking to be inspired.  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our world. I founded Dr. Roxy's Notes with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and I have been at it ever since.

Take some time to explore my notes (click on the three lines above from your phone) read something interesting, and feel free to comment or reach out if you would like to collaborate on a project together.

P.S. Using "Dr." as a title, may be perceived as arrogant and self-proclaiming.  Let me reassure you, I am neither. Just ask any of my friends.  But I've realized; throughout the years, that those who read my notes, either love me or not.   Those who love me, know well that I've worked hard raising two teens, working full time, running a household, while attending school to get my doctorate. And those who don’t, I hope they do one day…But meanwhile, I am going to be me.
